Saturday morning I was up fairly early to go visit Lisa and James Cornish. Some of you may know Lisa as Lisa Gowland or Lisa Harrison, her and James were both on the FMDS and worked in Newcastle, Leeds & Sheffield. They moved out to Melbourne about 18months ago and are both working at the University in Finance roles. Was great to see them and chat about their experiences of financial management here, as well as family life - they live a few minutes from the beach & have a great life out here
I headed back to St Kilda around 2. Glenn’s family were coming round for a late lunch & Kul had cooked up a feast. We had a great afternoon/evening chatting, playing games & dancing to frozen songs (with the kids I might add) and I learnt corra is available here on Foxtel – yay! And they are 5 weeks behind the UK – perfect as I’ve missed the last 4 weeks!
Ps funny story for you....turns out trains out here don't have automatic doors and is no buttons to open the doors either. As I arrived at Lisa & James station I couldn't figure out how to open the doors, even as the train set off for the next station I still couldn't figure it out! Turns out you're just meant to pull them apart! Am such a tourist!!
