Arrived in koh phi phi don after a pleasant boat ride (2hrs) really calm so i was ok, met with hundreds of touts tryin to get us to book accom with them when we got off boat, managed to find our own, with pool for less than 20 quid a night which is v cheap for phi phi island.

Spent a day relaxing round pool and getting our bearings, all the people here ever seem to say is boat boat boat , taxi boat all the time, so I asked how much to kuala lumpur, which shuts them up. Anyway, we booked a half day sunset boat trip to see some of the surrounding islands.

We first went to monkey beach which looked deserted when we pulled up. we threw our cameras in a water tight box, jumped off the boat and swam ashore (amanda lost her bikini when she jumped in!!) it was further to swim than it looked. But well worth it as soon as we got onto the beach monkeys came out from everywhere, all shapes and sizes, they were not shy at all and came right up close, pineapple definately helps!! got some good pics.

Then onto viking cave where locals lived in the cave and climbed up bamboo scaffolds to get to the nests made from bird spit which is sold to the chinese to make birds nest soup. tasty hey ? and yours for just 100 pounds.

Then headed to the edge of a lagoon where we got off the boat into kayaks and headed into a secluded lagoon, water was crystal clear , teaming with fish and as warm as a hot bath, from here we headed to maya bay, walked thru a cave and 5 min trek thru jungle to maya beach, ( where they filmed 'the beach). had an hour here then kayaked back to the boat to watch the sunset over Maya Bay. pure paradise!

Back to appartment to pack, we headed to phuket.

After another really good boat trip, arrived in Phuket town, where we got a mini van to patong beach, we are staying at baan nern sai resort which we found cheap on tiniternet, is quite out of the way but is really nice and there are only us stopping here, get free internet and breaky , air con with fridge and tele all for less than a tenner a night. Free shuttle bus to town, and gorgeous pool area. patong is full of girlie bars , steak houses , pharmacies, a little like bangkok but on the beach, think we'll stay here till our flight to KL now, (Kuala Lumpur)

Anyways we'll update again before we leave but we're gonna put rest of our pics on.
