What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! so we left the gambling, sex, drugs and rock 'n' rol behind us! lol We drove down to the Grand Canyon, crossing the Hoover Dam on the way - Which is very impressive! And then we crossed the stateline from Nevada into Arizona. Were staying in a motel in a small town called Williams which is on the historic Route 66 Highway - which used to be the main road between Chicago and LA. Tuesday 3rd March Tonight we're staying in a real little western town called Lonepine, it looked very authentic and the first thing we noticed was a piece of tumble weed blowing across the road - we half expected to see some cowboys galloping across the desert! Alot of western films have been filmed here and its easy to see why when you take a look at the buildings along the main street. On the way up to San Francisco we made a couple of stops. we had one night at San Luis Obispo & one night at Santa Cruz. We drove via carmel-by-the-sea on the way, which is this quaint little town with an old picturesque mission. We loved it here its got an Old englishy feel to it.
