paul's world adventures and more
Yo Yo Yo
Well what can i say New Zealand you where amazing but i am now back to my spirutal home Asia.
Asia i have clearly missed and i am so happy to be back, the people, the prices, the food and quite cleary the partying.
First stop on the journey was Singapore clearly last time didn't look around hard enough "as i wasn't a fan" how wrong was i. The place is amazing it is like your in a bubble so much to do and see.
We stayed in a place called little India the name gives away what it is like may as well of been in India, the food was amzing and also the people to great place to stay would well advise anyone to stay there as it is a cultural hotspot.
Plenty of activities took place there ended up being a group of 6 Neil, Felix, Donna, Liza and dear me i have forgot the scotish girls name, but ye we hung out and did alot.
First stop was Raffles Hotel home to the famous Singapore Sling, what a old school place it's clearly a wonderful bar and yes of course we had a Singapore Sling 30 bucks for one pricey but well worth it. One thing i did find weird about Raffles was that you had nuts and threw the shell on the floor there was tonnes of them everywhere, i later found out the reasoning behind this was it was a old school way of polishing the floor because of the nut oil.
Day 2 consisted of going to a friends apartment and chilling by the pool quite but cool nice to just take it easy for the day in the sun
Day 3 and the final day was where the fun begin we went to a place called Sentosa quality is a understatement it's a beach resort with many diffrent things such as Unervisal Studios. The pace itself was beautiful it shouldn't of been in a city thats what was so amzing about it, we chilled and drank beer all day long, definetly a place for beer with a few quid to spend.
After Singapore i decided to do a bit of travelling with Donna in Malysia, best decision ever so much crazyiness happened.
It began with a 24 hour bus journey the idea was that we where going to do a homestay with a Malysian family we completly winged this as we didn't have a plan we just wanted to stay by lake Chini somewhere, we randomly jumped on a bus hoping this would happen 24 hours later this was the case after quite a few bus journeys and a few taxi rides this was made even tougher to the fact nobody could speak one word of English this in my eyes is what travelling should be about though as your every move is a challenging one.
The homestay at first was a bit daunting we didn't know what to expect arrived at 7am and at first felt like we where just staying in a chalet and not with a family. This was soon to change as after a few hours sleep the father and the son of the family took us on a road trip maybe to get to know us a little this was so much fun.
Firstly they took us to the largest lake in South East Asia beautiful. Secondly and very bizzarely on the trip he took us to what we thought was just a temple how wrong where we only ended up crashing a wedding at first a bit embarrased but then the bride bumped into us and invited us, this was culture at it's best we sat with the whole village ate although this had to be with our hands weird but the traditonal way for a musim wedding, drank and where even given a gift at the end of it. I was just amazed to be around people that clearly don't have much but there genouristy and kindness was clear to see.
After the homestay we planned to go to Redang which is a Malysian Island we got there and clearly it wasn't for backpackers more resort a quick decision was made to leave and head to the Perithean islands. We firstly had to get to a place called Kula Bessut to travel to the islands we arrived late so had to get the ferry the next day. The room we stayed in in Kula Bessut can only be described as a crack den the worst i have stayed in on ,my travels dirt all over the walls insects all over the floor. Donna went to the toilet to run back to me to say a guy had sneaked in locked the door behind him and took a wee on the shower floor hence thats what you get for 2 pounds each, slept maybe 2 hours.
After the hell home came the beauty of the Perithean Islands this began with a speed boat across at first daunting bouncing all over the place but in the end great fun.
Our accomadation was class a little beach bungalow for 2 days, i just cannot but into words how beautiful this place is. It reminded me of Kho Tao a little but much nicer.
We did many activities snorkled, hiked through the jungle swam and of course partied. It was just what the doctor orederd as it was nice to have a bit of beach time and just chill. I really didn't want to leave but i promised Neil that i would get to him for the full moon party i was sad to leave Donna but had to get gone as they say.
So the trail to the full moon party begins and the whole 36 hours of hell and yes it was as bad as it sounds, 2 buses and one sleeper boat and i have finally arrived 730am and on the beer because thats how i role. What tonight will bring who knows plus its the FA Cup Final, gonna get crazy one imagnes. Well thats enough of my waffling. Hope everyone is good and speak soon.
Peace out from Asia
