this morning we left early and have arrived in franz josef. on way stopped off at an odd sort of museum run by a guy called pete and all about the good ald days when men were men and deer were running free (much to the mens consternation) so they were hired to hunt the deer that were over running the place. they flew around in helicopters in the wilderness and shot them (then sold them as veal). next they descovered that deer farms were a good idea so used the helicopters to get the drop on them and wrestle the deer to the ground, hog tie it, and airlift it away. they have net guns now. there was also a very fat pig which a guy called pascal had to feed bread too. however as soon as teh bread was gone the pig didn't seem inclind to leyt pascal leav the enclosure so he had to jump over the small moat (which contained eals) and fence!
learnt that there are two types of possun. round ones and flat ones. there were some round ones at teh museum wich also sold possum pie (or 'headlight delight') tasted sonme of annabels and it tastwed a mixture between chicken and tuna.
am going to climb a glacire tomorow. most lickely in teh rain as it seems to do a lot of that on teh west coast.
love you all!
God Bless
