So we arrived early (3 hours) than expected in Sydney so it was about 8am. We went straight to our Hostel thinking that we would have to wait until 2pm like other Hostels to check in but they let us check in straight away. We jumped in the shower soon as we got our stuff sorted in our room and waited for Rosa and Debbie to arrive as they were 2 hours behind us on another bus and were checking into our room. When they arrived and settled in we went on the walking tour about 11am, then found out it was for about 5 hours so after 20 minutes me and Matt wandered off and told them 2 that we would meet them later. We had to look for an embroidery place to get these Koala teddyrquote s done. So we were scouting about all day when eventually we found a place that did the badges how we wanted, but then we would have to take the badges to a place across the road to get them stitched on. So we did that and we had to pick them up the next day. That night we went over to the girls Hostel as they were cooking dinner for us and chilled out with them for an hour. After that we came back to the Hostel, had a shower and got ready. Then Becky, Gemma, Jo and Chris came to our Hostel for a couple of beers in the downstairs bar. Nice vibe to chill out and have a drink, we then hit a bar round the corner called Scubar which was quite good. We didn't stay in there long before we headed back to our Hostel for a good nights sleep.

Christmas Eve

The next day (xmas eve) we had a bit of a lay in before going for a wander around the town having a little look about, we had to then pick up our koala's which came out brilliant. Bought Rosa and Debbie a gift and got some tinfoil to wrap all the presents up in as we couldn't be bothered to go over to the girls Hostel to pick up the wrapping paper. Later that night we all went out together to celebrate xmas at the side bar but it wasn't that great so we went round to Scubar again. Then the countdown came in and it all went off, felt really good to celebrate xmas in another country especially when your with amazing people that you look at as family. We all headed back at about 1am as we was all getting up really early in the morning to get to Bondi Beach to get a space as there was quite alot of us and knew it would be busy.

Christmas Day

The next morning were we up and ready and out by 7.45am leaving Rosa and Debbie in bed as they had stayed most of the night. We went over to the girls Hostel to give them there presents and get ours. They loved there presents from me and Matt, well from the scream and the smiles it looked asif they did. They bought us a book called 'The Game' which is interesting to read. And another very interesting book that could be referred to quite a lot. Then after all presents were opened and cleared away we headed for Bondi on the bus. Got there about 9am rushing a bit as Adam and Anthony were already there and said it was really busy already. We had quite a lot to carry as we had a massive box with all food in for the day and a massive case of soft drinks and Goon which got took off us as there werenrquote t allowed any alcohol on the beach. Adam and Ant were joking about it being busy as it was literally empty so we had a really good spot outside the festival, and we could hear the music all day. The weather was really hot so I decided to man up and get in the sea with everyone else and be honest loved it, didn't stop going in and out all day, surprised myself really. There was people going round with cameras and we was wondering what it was for and eventually came over to us as we were such a big group and found out that it was Bondi Rescue Camera's. Apparently we are meant to be on the show in February maybe. We stayed there all day until like 8pm before heading back to the Hostel burnt and tired. It had been a long and brilliant xmas day and enjoyed every bit of with everyone.

Boxing day we me and Matt had to check out and move into our flat on Bondi Beach with Rosa and Debbie, so we got up pretty early, checked out and made our way on the train to Bondi. It was a horrible journey holding the bags as me and Matt were very sore on our shoulders from the day before at the beach. We eventually found the flat and got in and everything was really nice, even had a big balcony with a table and chairs so nice to sit on at night when the sun had gone down.

Over the next few days we had people over like Clare and Alex and some of Deb and Rosa's friends which was good. Went to the beach during the day or just chilled in the flat and watched DVD's which was relaxing as we needed some chilling time. We went into the city to meet the girls and Chris a couple of nights and had some good nights out in Kings Cross. One night when we was in Kings Cross we was all in McDonalds after a night out and this women came in and picked up and drink and threw it at this guy, then picked up another and done it again, she was nuts. It all went over me and Matt at one point which werenrquote t nice, funny looking back at it though. Then we all got in a cab and came back to the girls, grabbed our stuff as we were meant to be staying there tonight and got a taxi back to Bondi so we could wake up in our place and not worry about moving around in the morning.

New Years Eve

New Years Eve came round quite quick and that day me, Matt, Clare and Alex were going to this festival called 'Shore Thing' which had Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris and Pendulum playing. But before that we headed into the City to see the 9pm fireworks that they set off each year that are meant to be amazing. They were out this world, really good and glad we come into the City to see it. Straight after that we went headed for the bus stop to catch a bus back to Bondi for the Festival. On our way we met these 2 girls called Sophie and Jenny were werenrquote t too bad to be honest. Sophie was fit. So we both got chatting and all got in and before we knew it Jenny went missing so it was going to be hard looking for her in a festival. Sophie was ringing her for ages. We would of left them and enjoyed the night if they both wasn't so smashed. So as we were trying to find them we got a call from Alex and Clare crying there eyes out down the phone saying they have lost each other in the festival as well, disaster! So as we was looking for everyone we managed to miss Snoop Dogg and Calvin Harris. Well we could here them in the background but not as good as watching them. Got everyone together for New Years and everyone was happy. By this time I just wanted to go back but I stayed for a bit then me and Matt headed back to our flat and let Clare and Alex stay over with about 5 other people that Debbie and Rosa brought back, but I still got my bed so I wasn't too bothered and Matt sort of got he's but he had to share with Clare and Alex.

New Years Day

The next day we all had to move out of the flat and move back into the City, we were staying with the girls as they had some spare beds, so we literally chucked our bags down and went straight to the Field Day Festival which was playing Calvin Harris and Example. We wasn't going to miss any of this day. So me, Matt and Clare met up with Anthony, Gemma, Jo, Becky and Chris. Example smashed it when he came on and what made it even better was that we was right at the front. Sat on the grass and chilled out for a few hours watching different bands and had a really enjoyable day. Clare and Matt left about 3 hours before we did as they were tired and had enough of it. After the Festival had finished everyone headed to Kings cross but I couldn't be bothered so I grabbed there bags and that off of them and headed back to the Hostel. About half an hour later they all strolled in as it cost too much to get in the bars so they came back.

The next day Becky went to Melbourne with Anthony and Adam for a couple of days. Matt went to Bondi Beach with Clare and Alex for the day while me, Chris, Jo and Gemma went to Hyde park up the road from our Hostel and chilled out for the day as the weather was nice. Me and Chris went to a sport shop and bought a football to have a kick about with. Later that night we all had dinner and went to the TV room and watch Hangover 2 together while a cup of tea.

The next day we all done the same thing really having a kick about up the park for the day but everyone was up there with us this time. The weather had been really nice in Sydney so we thought we would spend the days chilling in the park and not spending to much money as itrquote s really expensive. That night Sheryl and Lee (Mattrquote s mum and her Boyfriend) were turning up for a week in Sydney. So me and Matt went up to there Hotel to say hello. It was really nice to see a familiar face. Sheryl didnrquote t really think to much of there Hotel (Travelodge). She thought it was a bit grubby, but she soon changed her mind when she came down to see the Hostel we were staying in, her face dropped, shocked at how bad it was. Well we never thought it was that bad as we had been staying in a lot of them and got used to them. Then me, Matt, Sheryl and Lee went out for a meal down by the Harbour which was really nice. Then after dinner we came back and me and Matt had to pick a film for us and the girls to watch back at the Hostel. Matt was in Coles (supermarket) so he said just pick any so I picked lquote I Love You Phillip Morrisrquote with Jim Carey. I thought it looked funny but I turned out to be one of the gayest films Irquote ve seen. Men kissing and having sex. There was 4 other lads in the room as well which thought the film was awful, and people were taking the mickey as I picked it so I got what I deserved.

The next morning we got up early as we were all going to go to Kingrquote s Cross and hire a car out for the day. Sheryl and Lee came with us as well so it was like a big family going out. Me and Matt went in the car with Sheryl and Lee while the 4 girls and Chris went in the other car. We drove to the Blue Mountains to visit the 3 sisters (which are 3 rocks next to each other) which was nice and a really good view point. Took a few snaps before heading back across and up to Palm Beach (where they film Home and Away) for a quick swim for half an hour. As it was quite chilly and late by this time we all got back in the car and headed back the City. I had to be back by 9pm as I had to drop my gay film off. Then we got another film for that night which was lquote The Black Swan'. Girls chose it this time.

The next morning we were up early as we had to check out of the Hostel and check into another one called 'Maze' for 2 nights. We threw all our bags into Sheryl's room otherwise we would have to pay $5 per bag. That day most of us went out for the day while Me and Matt went for a walk around town then went back a chilled in Sheryl's room. I catched up on a couple of the blogs. Later that night everyone went out on the Party Bus, but I couldn't be bothered so I went to Sheryl's room with Sheryl and Lee and typed up a few more blogs. Went back and had a cup of tea and watched a film before everyone came back in.

The next day we all had to move Hostel's and back to 'Wake Up' where we first started when we arrived in Sydney. When we checked in me, Matt, Gem, Becky, Jo, Debbie and Rosa all checked into the same room which was good. Me, Matt and Chris found out that we could get a 7 day free pass to the Hilton Hotel Gym so we went looking for that. We signed up by saying we was working at out Hostel and they gave us the passes. The gym was really nice, had everything you needed, even had a steam room, sauna, swimming pool and a jacuzzi which was really good to relax in. We done this over the next few days before leaving Sydney. We went to a free festival in the park up the road which was quite a good night, had fun. Me, Matt, Jo and Gem had a little chat and we are all thinking about coming back to Sydney to live and work, and then move in the same block as them but different appartments which sounds awesome. That night we went to 'Side Bar' next to Wake Up Hostel for the rest of the night as we wouldn't have to travel too far to get back.

Over the next couple of days we went to the gym, played footy over the park killing time before going to New Zealand. Sheryl and Lee took us out for a lovely dinner again which was really nice of her. She wanted to see us before she left the next day. It had been a long time since we have seen her and along time until we see her again as our plans have changed a little bit again depending on how the work goes after New Zealand. Our plan is to stay in Australia a little longer as our Working Visa runs out in October. Then go to East Asia in October and get back before xmas, dno yet still thinking about it.

We then said our goodbyes to Sheryl and Lee, and Rosa and Debbie which was sad but all part of travelling. That night was our last in Sydney so we all went to the bar by our Hostel for a live band which was really good, then an early night ready for our flight the next day. Kiwi Experience here we come.
