We got to El Calafate after about 21 hours of travelling which is always nice! Again, it was bloody freezing but we did arrive at about midnight! We turned up at a hostel, which seemed pretty nice, however the dorms looked like they were from the army! You even had a bed number, which you had to abide by otherwise they´d kick you out! (Maybe thats a bit extreme...) You never got blankets either so Alex was literally shivvering all night!

We woke up quite early on the first day as we wanted to get our free breakfast, which was so tiny - it would probably be just about enough for a little mouse, which we werent too happy about! But outside it seemed like a quite nice day so we thought we´d go and see the Perito Moreno Glaciar. After speaking to the most unhelpful member of staff EVER, we decided to go to the bus terminal and book our bus ourselves! It also worked out much cheaper so it was a bloody good idea!!

We left for the national park just after midday, and it took about an hour and a half to get there, which was quite long! When we got there, we were told that we had about 7 hours to wander around........fun fun fun! We went to see the glaciar, which was pretty amazing, as we also got to see (HUGE!) lumps of ice fall off the sides. Alex actually thought there was thunder as it was so loud! After about 3 hours we didnt really have anything more to see, as the trail wasnt really long, and we decided not to go on the boat trip because you see just as close on the trail but just on land and not water! We amused ourselves for a few more hours, and ended up in the cafe in the park for another hour! It was a pretty strange cafe as Lissie asked if she could have her sandwich toasted or heated, as it was pretty chilly, and the man pointed and we turned around and there was just random microwaves at the sides......

The next day we just chilled for a bit, and ate quite a lot, as we were waiting for our bus which was at about 5pm to Bariloche.

Thats about it for El Calafate!
