So we left Sydney after sitting outside the airport for 1 1/2 hours in the cold, they really should have had a sign that says airport open at 4am! 3 hour flight later we were met by Fiona (relative) and Harry (partner) who drove us to our hostel, great to see a friendly face! Our 10 bed dorm had a mix of cultures: people from France, Brazil,Chile, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Ireland and Scotland. A very chilled and friendly bunch, who felt like family! We went up the Sky tower which was 220m above ground level, backpackers rates (bargain!) We then had a chinese lunch and then sampled some sushi, and i liked it! Met up with Dympna and spent the evening catching up on her adventures for the last year! She is loving her work and living in NZ! Kind of wish i had more time to explore NZ, i'll just have to come back and visit Dympna, LOL! We took a ferry to Devenport and enjoyed a beautiful breakfast and the peace and tranquility and the cold! We took a walk to Parnell and had an amazing lunch and visited the little boutiques. Also enjoyed the cold, lol! At night we went to the Viaduct to eat. Found a cool Irish bar for food and then had mocktails at the Waterfront. I had a great time in NZ! I was very sad to say goodbye to Dympna. We are now moving onto America, and i'm hoping for better weather! L.A here we come!
