Wednesday 3rd February
Although i was asleep by 11pm last night I was awake by 5am paranoid about bugs on the ceiling above me. This is one reason I hate the top bunk. I'm way too close to where the bugs crawl. The second reason is just how much of a pain it is getting up and down it, especially when you need to wee in the middle of the night! So between 5-7am I couldn't sleep, once I finished worrying about the bugs, I heard a group get up to go to Fraser so when they left I finally dropped back to sleep for a couple of hours. We went to a cafe for breakfast, and they even had HP brown sauce which was a bonus. We waited until after lunch for Jess to come back from a trip and all went for a long walk to 'Noosa national park'. We bumped in to Briana in the street on the way, but she was just heading back from the beach so didn't join us for the walk. When we got there we saw a wild koala sleeping in a tree which melted my heart a little bit. We talk a walk around the edge overlooking the sea which was pretty. Jess had met some British guys previously who we bumped in to too along the way. They told us it was going to rain, again, so we started walking back with them. One of them was Adam from England and the other two were Welsh. We managed to make it back before the rain. I had spotted a sign for a free yoga class earlier in the day so the three of us headed to that at 5pm. Another two girls turned up who Jess had met in the hostel too, and told them about it. We spent an hour at Yoga then me and Kirsty had to rush to a briefing at the hostel about our Fraser Island trip for the following morning. Fraser is the largest sand island in the world and most of us were agoing to be driving 4x4's so had to listen to a safety DVD. We briefly met everyone who was coming on our trip but then I had to shower and change before I met back up with Jess. We had another new girl in our room called Lauren and Oscar had two more friends from Sweden who were in our room too. The guys in the room were trying to get me to play beer pong with them but I wasn't going to make it on time so I said we would cheer them on when we got there instead. Me, Kirsty, Lauren and Jess went to KB's bar which is in the hostel and grabbed a drink before we cheered our roomies on at beer pong. Kirsty went to bed early though. Jess and Lauren tried to play but got knocked out in the first round. A few of the guys made it to the semi finals but when they lost we told them they weren't allowed back in Room 17 and had to sleep outside for letting our dorm down haha. Me and Jess were talking to a local guy who was trying to show off about being a professional 'soccer' player. We weren't impressed so swerved him to find the boys from our room to dance with. The Swedish boys were so drunk they were really funny. We didn't stay out late as I had to be up early the next day for Fraser Island. When we got back to the room though I barely slept. One of the Swedish boys was talking really loudly in his sleep (in Swedish), another boy came in drunk and randomly started playing the harmonica at a stupid hour, another boy decided to have a shower at 2am! It's all fun and games!
