Lucerne was our first stop in Switzerland and unfortunately, we were only able to spend a few hours in the afternoon here. It was very pretty and made me want to see more of Switzerland. Our first stop was the shops to look at Swiss watches, Swiss army knives and Swiss chocolate. I naturally, bought the chocolate and a few other souvenirs. Then I went for a wander down to the river and across its famous bridge, taking little detours on the way into shops and down side streets. Lucerne felt like a lovely town and it would be somewhere that one day I'd like to go back and see more of. Switzerland in general is somewhere I'd like to spend more time exploring. It is such a pretty country with the beautiful lakes, green hills and high up, the snow capped alps. Switzerland, and Lucerne, was everything I'd imagined them to be.
