Yosemite National Park Waking up to the sound of nature was a lovely feeling and the day seemed to get better once we were on the bus and heading to Yosemite National Park. I hadn't thought visiting Yosemite would be that great but the moment we exited the tunnel under the mountain that announced the entrance to the park I was transfixed to the view out the window. We stopped and had a look at the mist slowly rising from Yosemite and I can't describe how beautiful it was. Arriving at the main lodge, our group broke up, with about 10 of heading off on a hike. Unfortunately, a lot of the waterfalls had dried up so the falls weren't as spectacular as they could be but that didn't seem to matter. Yosemite was beautiful and my only disappointment is that I was still very weak after being sick so the hike was a bit of a trial for me. But it was worth it and I would love to go back and see more of it, when the water falls are at their best. After the hike, we wandered around the lodge and checked out the souvenir shops before having lunch. Then it was time to reboard the bus and go back to Bass Lake. We spent the afternoon relaxing again and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was just what was needed after the overwhelming nature of Vegas.
