Our flight from Fiji to Darwin via Brisbane was a little late leaving the runway which concerned us a bit as we needed to change from the international terminal in Brisbane (and in the process, customs, quarantine and passport control) before rushing across to the domestic terminal where our connecting flight from Brisbane to Darwin was departing from.

During the flight we had some turbulence which was a little scarey but we landed safely. Unfortunately due to someone on board the aircraft feeling unwell we were unable to leave the aircraft until a representative from Australia's quarantine department came to check them over. All seemed ok and we were given the go ahead to leave.

We were told by the airline that we had to retreive our luggage first and then check it in again for the flight to Darwin and then board a train to the domestic airport. Why they couldn't have transferred our luggage onto the flight is beyond us. It was the same airline we were travelling with!!!!

Anyway, we managed to rush through all the check-in points and security checks and we still had time for a drink and something to eat.
