Noosa Heads We had a pleasant journey into Noosa Heads town passing multi-million dollar properties built on a island in the middle of the river. Rainbow beach We arrived at Rainbow Beach which is a tiny seaside town with not much happening unless you want to chill on a beach, surf - although we didn't see anyone doing this - or need a gateway to Fraser Island. Hervey Bay The 13 hour journey from Airlie Beach to Hervey Bay by Greyhound coach wasn't too bad. We had a number of stop offs for food and drink and the rest of the time we slept. We arrived in Hervey Bay in heavy rain, it was 7:30am and we were looking out for our free pink shuttle bus to take us to our hostel called Next.
