Day 170: this morning we caught boat to koh phangan, the crossing wasn't too bad today and we arrive by late morning. We made our way to the hotel and checked into our private bungalow right on the beach. We had some lunch and relaxed on the beach, then walked for an hour to another beach but it was a waste of time because the tide was all the way in. That night we chilled at the hotel. Watched the sunset and had an early night.

Day 171: again the best way to get around the island is by scooter so we hired one here too. We spent the day riding around the island. In the morning we went to a beach where the water was shallow enough to walk across to another smaller island. Then we stopped for some lunch in a nice little fishing village and after lunch we headed into Haad rin, the main tourist town where all the full moon parties happen, but the beach is dirty and the town run down. In the evening we went to a night food Market for a cheap and tasty dinner before handing back down to Haad rin to see if it was any better in the evening but it wasn't so after a bucket of drink we headed back.

Day 172: today we tried to explore the rest of the island that we missed yesterday but only got as far as one beach for a few minutes before a monsoon hit the island and we were stranded in a little shack at the side of the road for a few hours waiting for the rain to stop before we could make our way back to the hotel. That night we just had another cheap night at the food Market and got ourselves ready for our next boat trip to koh samui.
