Day 148: today we had a 10 hour bus journey up to Cairnes, however we were lucky to make it as a cyclone had caused wide spread flooding throughout north Queensland. Apparently we were the last bus to make it through.

Day 149 - 150: the next few days were uneventful as the cyclone meant our diving and snorkelling tour out to the great barrier reef was cancelled and as it rained the whole time we were there there was no point in going to the beach. So we spent two days trying to kill time.

Day 151: today we flew down to Sydney for one more night before heading to Bangkok. Our friends Lino and Tatiana offered to let us stay with them and took out for the day. We had fish and chips at the beach then went to the park and rented paddle bikes on the lake. That night they made us dinner and took us out for the night. It was strange being in a nice clean home for the 1st time in 6 months and we got a great night sleep!
