Day 72: our flight arrived in santiago really early in the morning so we made our way to the hostel checked in and went straight to bed for a few hours! In the afternoon we went into the city centre, we had a wander round and then got some dinner. In the evening we just headed back to the hostel and had an early night.
Day 73: after a good lie in we got up and headed to the supermarket, the hostel has a really good fully equipped kitchen so we decided we would cook for the remaining time we are in Santiago. After a home cooked dinner we made our way back into the city centre to do a free walking tour. The tour was really good and last 4 hours so we seen pretty much everything Santiago has to offer in one afternoon. Later that night we had another great meal then had a few drinks with a group of Irish people who we are sharing a room with.
Day 74: today was a bit more relaxed in the morning we stayed round the hostel and in the afternoon went for some lunch and an ice cream in a really nice area of santiago called Bella vista. In the evening we had a big picnic in the hostel garden which was organised by the hostel so we got free food and sangria for a night, woohoo! Later we had a few more drinks with our Irish friends and didn't make it to bed until the early hours of the morning.
Day 78: we just spent the day at the pool and doing a bit of sunbathing. Then made sure we had everything prepared to go to New Zealand! In the evening we went out for dinner with the Irish gang and had a few more drinks in a couple of bars.
Day 79: today we fly out to new Zealand, our flight doesn't leave till 11pm so today was a day of waiting around and trying to waste time.
