My last night in Sydney was a complete blast. I met these lads & was having a few drinks with them in the hostel then we decided to go downstairs to the club. So we get in the lift & they thought it would be funny to jump up & down see if they could make the lift go faster. It didn't, it stopped altogether. So there I am trapped in the lift with 6 lads & the people say it's gonna be half hour before they can get us out. It was absolutely hilarious. Then it starts getting a bit hot so all the lads are starting to strip off. When they finally got the lift going again it went straight down to the club instead of opening in the lobby so out tumbled 6 topless lads & me, scarred for life. The bouncers of the club were not impressed but the hostel couldn't apologise enough & gave us loads of free drink vouchers ha ha!

We left Sydney for surf camp at 6 in the morning & it was a long day of travelling. We didn't reach surf camp unitl 6 at night & it was chucking it down with rain. I was not looking forward to going surfing at 7am in the freezing cold & I was afraid of getting in the water - there have been known shark attacks at Byron Bay which was just up the road. But the surf instructors were really cool & we had a great laugh practising on the sand. I was a complete idiot & put my wet suit on inside out but seeing as it took me so long to get it on the instructor said it was fine as it was. As for the actual surfing, I loved it! I wasn't as hopeless at it as I thought I"d be & managed to stand up & surf quite a bit! I suprised myself! Of course they were only little waves though. I've got some pics so I'll get them on here when I get a chance although I don't look very good in a wetsuit!

We then set off for Byron Bay after surfing & I fell asleep - it's tiring stuff! Byron Bay is really cool & I'm starting to enjoy myself more now although I still miss Asia. I meant to try some more surfing but I've spent most of the time chilling on the beach just checking out the surfer babes. I met these two really nice Irish girls that I'm travelling up the coast with. I'm meeting them a bit later in Surfers Paradise which is the next stop. Soon I'll be in Brisbane & meeting up with Leah who I met in Tenerife. Can't wait to see them all again, we were in Thailand at the same time but I missed them coz I went north.

No, didn't go on the neighbours tour because that's in Melbourne although I would've loved to go!
