We went to the national park today. It was raining which was disappointing but everyone was in good spirits. We did the end of the world train up a hill which is the train the prisoners used to take (this area used to be a penal colony). The station at the top was called Macarena so there may be some embarrassing photos around of myself and Steve doing the Macarena dance under the sign. Well, until some random old lady asked us to move out of the way so she could take a photo of the sign - how very dare she!! Not much else to report from the day except we saw the sign for the end of the Pan-American highway which stretches 17,848km southwards from Canada.
It was Michelle's birthday today (38 - old fart!) so we all went out for dinner and a few cheeky orange juices. All good fun until we got to an Irish bar which didn't serve wine (Eh? In Argentina?!) so I decided on a mojito which has to be the worst one I've ever tasted. Great start to the trip though and really helped to bond the group.
