The hottest day of our trip and one of the hottest days of 2011, 35 degrees :-)
So we took the car to Malibu, surfers paradise beach. 75% of the beach is closed for surfing only. We don't care because we feel the water is too cold for swimming. Guess we are spoiled by the warm mediterrenian sea. The ocean was crowded by surfers waiting for the perfect wave, many times 15-20 minutes before they finally got a decent wave. After couple of hours and à RED skin, we decided to leave the beach. Guess what? I got my first parking ticket in the US! 63 USD, i had payed but stood in a wrong spot. Oh well, it was worth the money :-)
KFC for lunch, the guy working at KFC Malibu was turkish and wanted (as turks do) us to stay for tea :-) we thanked him but skipped the tea. On our way home we decided to take a last trip to Citadel Outlet and do some more shopping. When there we saw an artist up close for the first time. The only problem is that the artist was Mohombi :-) . Ha ha ha the world is really small. Actually we also saw Chandler from the TV series Friends, but he was driving his Porsche Panamera beside me down Sunset Boulevard. After the shopping we got burgers at Jack in the Box and got home. At 23.30 we felt we should do something. Nothing except nightclubs were open at that time so instead we took the car to Café 50's, a diner looking exactly like diners did in the 50's. With jukebox and everything. After Linda's apple pie and my milkshake, we went home to chill out and sleep.
Tomorrow is gonna be as hot so it will be another beach day :-)
