Landed at SF airport last night, got our Hyundai Santa Fe SUV and drove to our hotel at Market Street. Got up early as usual, had a real American breakfast and took the car downtown. After walking around malls like Macy's, Bloomingdales and then the Louis Vuitton store, we walked to Chinatown. Interesting place with tons of shops selling all kinds of chinese stuff. We then went to pier 39, a beautiful place right across from Alcatraz with several seafood restaurants. We also visited the aquarium with sharks, seastars and many other fish. After Pier 39 we took the car to Golden Gate Bridge, just as beautiful as the pictures we have seen through the years. This was it in SF this time. Time to take highway 1 towards Los Angeles. An incredible highway indeed, mountains on our left and the Pacific on our right side. Many times impossible doing more than 40 km/h. My plan is to drive as far as i can and then drive to Las Vegas tomorrow.
