Day 37 11/6/18
Today I woke up from the battle of the birds, they were sooo loud it sounded like one of the birds fell out of a tree and died. They were so loud everyone woke up because of it. We quickly had breakfast and then went to Dimond Gorge for a canoe in the lake! It was a 3 hour drive from the campsite, but I was listening to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. When we got there we got our paddles and life jackets and drove 25 km to the lake. When we got there we got our canoes and had a practice run. I was in a boat with Tom and mum( they were 3 Person canoes) and on the way back I went with Dad and Stu. It was very hard to start with but then I got the hang of it. As we were paddling the paddle made my hands silver( and are still silver the next day.) When we got to the end (half way) we got to a Narrow bit and got stuck on a rock! It took 5 mins to get out but when we finally got out mum told me and Tom to not tell dad or he will tease us, but dad found out because we were so far behind. We went through a secret bush and came to a beautiful water fall! We swam in it and had lunch. After lunch we went back in the little pool under the water fall and realised that the water fall was warm from the sun but at the bottom was cold because all the trees were blocking the sun of the little pool. On the way back I went quicker because dad was a stronger rower than mum. The ride back was 2km and when we got back, we got dressed and drove back to the office to drop off the life jacket and paddles, got an ice- block and drove home. We got home at 7:30 and had steak then went to bed very tired.
