San sebastian - coastal city is located in the basque region - 20kms from the french border. We have traveled 3hrs from toulouse to arrive in san seb. Population around 200,000 - a third of toulouse. We are going to be in san seb for their film festival which has been going for 50 years.
Arrived in san seb at 1pm - met by our host Jon - who showed us to our 1st floor apartment overlooking La Concha beach - great location.
He could talk underwater - gave us his top 10 pintxos bars which we will sample no doubt. He told us that Hugh Jackman is in town for their film festival and will be awarded the Donostia award for his new movie. We shall catch up with him for a beer later. Went for a dip in the beach - it's 30 today. We are loving this place and have only been here 5 hours.

Need to stay up late tonite to check out the spanish bar scene and sample some of their lovely food.
