Let's just start this entry with it won't be as funny as the previous ones. My sense of humor is a little stressed at the moment. The corral and shade structure were built but I think everybody, including us, paid a heavy price. This construction job wasn't the kind of thing a bunch of family over 50 should do (per Michael, a structural engineer who was helping) but we gave it our best shot and it turned out pretty good. When a family member tells you they are building ANYTHING and could use some help.....RUN!!!!!!! Let's just say the best laid plans of mice or Dave and Debbie usually have some kind of fly in the ointment. Stopped to visit for a weekend and ended up staying for ten days to help out family by building a barn and separate shade structure for a horse and ended up smack dab in the middle of a bunch of crazy A** people...... Landed in Redway after going through the Leggett California fire zone.....Nasty, nasty, nasty air. Things are so dry I'm surprised the entire state isn't on fire but going through this smoke zone was enough for me. Visiting one of my two favorite sister-in-laws for the weekend and come to find out she needs a barn built for her horse on the back of her property and she needs it now..... Well we got the time, we got the skill (ok Dave does), we can buy...

Bushay Campground, Lake Mendicino.......138 sites......First day 3 campers and us. It almost seems like the twilight zone. We have never had a campground so empty in the summer months. Never got more than 6 campers the entire time we stayed... Very surprising and a little disturbing since the campground, showers and potties included, was the bomb diggity. It was a fun few days, relaxing, doing pretty much nothing.....
