We met our group yesterday and are going to stay with them for the next 10 days. It is a pretty good mix of young and middle aged people which is perfect. Everybody seems nice and with us we are now mostly German speaking people on the bus. It feels like the Germans want to take over the world, we are everywhere and everybody is getting a bit annoyed, when you tell them, that you too are from Germany. But we don't care, and anyway we can't change it, can we J.
So, two days with the group and I spent the budget for a whole month already …well nearly, but we got to calm down a little concerning expensive activities, otherwise, I will be home in a few weeks with no money left. But life is short, and the Euro isn't worth anything anymore, so we can as well spent it all, right?
We went first to the Franz Josef Glacier, where we had a full day hike on the ice. Amazing!!! The glacier is huge and you feel so little and unimportant on it. We went on the slowest group to be sure we can enjoy the hike as much as possible…and a tiny bit also because the slowest group had the best looking guide,…but just a tiny bit J. No, seriously, we had a great time, amazing pictures…but look for yourself. The glacier is very unique because it has a reain forest right next to it. You cannot find so many places on this planet with glaciers and rain forest right next to rech other.
And today…well today we had the most crazy and perfect and beautiful experience of our lifes. WE WENT SKYDIVING!!! I can tell you, no need for coffee this morning, this crazy s**** wakes you up in no time. Wow, I don't find the right words to describe how amazing it was! We jumped out of a plane!!! Ahhhhh! It was soooo great, I want to go again. NOW!!!
Seriously already going up there was worth the money. The tiny plane took us up to 12.000 feet and than the door opened and somehow you find yourself falling at 200km/h for 40 seconds screaming like crazy and trying to breathe. The scenery could not have been better. Glaciers, ocean, rain forest, highest mountain of New Zealand and we saw it all while flying like a bird. When the parachute opens everything feels so peaceful, you are just gliding and the adrenaline makes you feel, like if you wouldn't need the parachute! Wow, best experience ever!!! I might stay here and learn how to skydive and do that as a job! So Theresa, what do you do for living? Well I am a skydiver and every day I make people happy and give them the best 30 minutes of their life! How great would that be?? Just look at the pictures or go out and do it yourself!!!
Now we are sitting on the bus and Esther, Kirstin and me can't think of anything that will make this tour even better than it is now!
