The best part of my job...

Taking teams to G.I.S.S.T! Travelling with groups of students to compete against other International Schools in Germany. It's the time when you really appreciate "your" kids! All the schools we compete with are fantastic and the vast majority have great student's.. But nothing compares to your own!

Our teams have been involved in the Football G.I.S.S.T's over the last couple of weeks & have performed above all expectation. Very proud Director of Sport!

Now, I can be quite elitist & competitive, winning is important, you take part to try to win, we keep the score exactly for that reason, there's a trophy for the winning team, medals... However, I also believe in the manner in which you play. This takes president over the importance of winning. No one likes a show off as they say! The way in which you take defeat is also important. Sportsmanship, respect and integrity are all improtant qualities we promote at BBS.

Headed to Leipzig for the weekend, we were here for the Tennis G.I.S.S.T in the summer term & I wanted to come back. A great place! The buildings are striking, the architecture fantastic. Especially in the early evening, the lighting really defines the buildings against the night skies! Fantastic.. Many of the buildings during the evening don't look real, almost like you are on the set in the theatre! I really enjoyed exploring Leipzig in the evening. Only downside, the majority of the bars still allow smoking inside! This always surprises me, I can't believe it when I see people smoking in the bars in Berlin, thankfully it's not all of them!

One more competition remaining this term, Badminton, then it's Christmas and a deserved holiday! ;)
