From the West Coast we drove for 9 hours to get to Kaikoura, a small town on the East Coast with lots of marine wildlife. We arrived at night and camped at a Seal Colony, woke up surrounded by seals. Aidan promised us beatuiful hot springs with no crowds and a snowy mountain backdrop. Sounded great, then he told us it was a long way from the car park. 17km to be exact. My turn to write the journal for a change. Today I faced my fears and did a bungy jump. I never planned to do this, I'd seen Aidan's video enough time to know it was a completely insane thing to do. Then one night after a glass of wine or two I said to Aidan I'll do it. I thought I'd regret it later in life and suddenly decided it was a must do.
