Well I can't believe it's been a full calender month away- it's gone so quickly and get thinking back to Japan seems so long ago, we have done so much!!rnThis morning we went for a few walks along by the Franz Josef Glacier, got some good views and walked on a riverbed, saw a lake which had excellent reflections. Snow not as white as I had thought though and the glacier was quite small, evidentally it is retreating!rnThis afternoon we went on a 13ish km kayak. Was really really good, went on a lake and down an estuary. It was only the 2 of us with the guide so ew got to go way further than usual, we were on the water for a good 3 hrs. I am clearly a natural. It's not tiring at all though, and you go really quickly without feeling it. The lake is 80m deep in some places and filled with trout, salmon and eels- ahhhhhhh!!!! So that brings us to now where I am using my free internet time from the kayak people in a red london bus that is the internet room!!!rnOff to Wanaka tomorrow to enjoy the delights of a dorm!!! :-o
