After a great sleep, we got up and went for breakfast while the Brits quickly packed and escaped out of the window because none of us thought it was worth trying to explain the situation to the hostel reception. We met up with them at the beach and spent the morning body-surfing the waves and just enjoying the brilliant beach!

After that, we set out for Pompei.

We were thrilled when the drive from Sperlonga to Pompei went great and we found the hostel first try. It had just opened up again after siesta and we got settled in and went for supper at "Real Pizza", the winner of the 2004 World Pizza Championship. We even verified this on the web!

Check out http://www.pmq.com/mag/2004september_october/fullplate.php. It was excellent and we enjoyed our walk to and from, despite an unbelievable amount of honking on the streets. Italians are very impatient drivers, but Pompei drivers are more so than most!

We spent our afternoon and evening planning our upcoming visits to the Amalfi coast and the Pompei ruins, as well as making our preliminary plans for Greece. It should be a wonderful few days!
