It seems we were more tired than we thought. We actually slept in until 10:00 am. This morning, the sun shone fully onto our lovely balcony which overlooks palm trees, flowering vines and bushes, two pools, and a snippet view of the sea. From this vantage point, we enjoyed a nice breakfast that Barry had bought the night before at the neighbourhood market, eating in the sun. Later, the kids made their way to the pool and spent the morning, in the deep, nearly deserted, warm water. We spent our morning narrowing down our India tour possibilities and deciding upon one, at last. When we described it to the kids and when they heard "Tiger Safari on Elephants" they actually cheered. After lunch, we moved out to the black beach where Connor and Barry once again enjoyed checking out a wide array of topless women. The water was gorgeous and the swimmers in the family dove again and again to explore the small reef and swim among the fish. Back at the apartment, we also did three loads of laundry, did some grocery shopping, and cooked a simple, but delicious, tuna casserole on the hot plate in our room. In the evening, Barry and Margaret sat by the pool and talked with two Canadian couples. One - a sister/brother pair - actually live in MacEwan and Southbrook, only minutes from our home! The other couple is from Vancouver. She's currently playing hooky from 4th year studies at Simon Fraser but will return next week; he's an electrician who has done what all electricians in Western Canada must do these days - worked in Fort Mac.
