Happy birthday Grandad!!
Our last thing to do on our final trip to Bangkok was to buy some 'rubbish' typical gifts for the kids for Xmas day. We decided we would give MBK shopping centre another go after successfully buying our GoPro on or last trip. A place full of Same Same, all the bloody same rubbish. We did however manage to purchase a 'Shrilling Chicken' - Robbie is going to love this! And also a few tshirts for the rest of the gang.
One last night out in Thailand was needed before our departure and what better way to do it than on Khao San Road. Afternoon beers started flowing and didn't stop until the early hours. Beers, cocktails, bands and rocking out with a Dutch couple was how the night went. An awesome night to end our last two months in Thailand.
The funniest thing of today was the reason we learnt how to say "Mai Ao Kap." - "No thank you, I can't afford it." We learnt this after Matt showed some interest in a laser pen, but it was far more expensive than he realised. The woman wouldn't take no for an answer and instead she produced a taser that looked like a torch and started to jab it toward him in a very aggressive manner, accompanied by the words "eff you". Matt started to lean backwards in his chair cringing at the thought of being hit with 25000 volts. Luckily the crazy Khao San Road lazer and taser women disappeared soon enough or things would have become messy.
