Today we explored Byron Bay and then headed to the beach with Amber and Tom.

Features of Byron:

- It has it's own hippy corner

- Long haired people carrying surfboards (But do you even surf bro?!)

- Long haired people CARRYING skateboards (But do you even board bro?!)

- Long haired people carrying guitars/banjos/ukuleles (But do you even pick bro?!)

Our evening got very interesting. After being offered a voucher for $5 steak..., Yes that again is 2.50 ENGLISH POUNDS we ventured to Byrons cess pit (Cheeky Monkeys) to check out the portion. And yes we had to eat our words.... it was AMAZING!! But it was not a place to only spend $10. We left at 2am with our bank balance looking a lot less than when we walked in! But we had an amazing night with even a few free drinks being won with the help of Char's glasses and Amber's bra!! The evening ended with a wet t-shirt competition (and NO WE DID NOT TAKE PART!!) but Tom and Matt were betting on the girls like horses!

Our lone ranger of the group, Adam, who was meant to be in Lismore staying with Geoff on a help exchange visit turned up half way through the night, after hitch-hiking to Byron, with tales of raw chicken, awkward conversation, a collection of used bars of soap and setting his first tent up in the dark. No wonder he only lasted 3 hours!!
