Teaching as usual today. This afternoon we fancied a trip out so one of the girls took us to the nearby market. With only one bicycle free, Char jumped on the back of her moped while Matt took the penny-farthing (See photo). This was not the ride Matt had expected. After five minutes of trying to keep up over the dusty countryside trail, in flip flops, a new technique was introduced. As Matt tightly held Char's hand, he was pulled along at speed, letting go every few minutes to bunnyhop the imperfections in the road. Who knew penny-farthings were capable of such modern speeds.
The market wasn't much cop so we left to be taken on a guided tour of Sensok District, first stop - the local high school, second stop - an American style new resort on the outskirts of Phnom Penh (mansions, a golf resort and a water park in progress).
On the way back we met some of the children and Matt just had to show off his speed on the penny-farthing by racing them back to Samrong Farm. He was not going to let them win (eventhough the majority of the kids were 7-10yrs old.... nothing changes!)
Matt then had his long awaited motorbike lesson with Rattana to prevent such journeys again.
Rob will be proud, Matt is spreading the word and skills of the 'Bankview Ukulele Orchestra' by teaching one of the strudents named Kon Kea.

Rob E Excellent work. We could do with some exotic flava for the Bank View Boys' next outing. Bank View Ladyboys? Throwing it out there... x
