Had the Real Bronx tour today. This tour was a bus tour into the Bronx to learn some history and see Yankee Stadium.
After tour I walked from near Times Square down past 1st street and 1st avenue. Times square is 51st and 7th avenue. I walked about 2.5 hours looking at different neighborhoods along the way. Went into Macy's, there was a 1 day sale on and it was like a stocktake sale so I didn't stay long. Walked down past the Flat Iron and then into the East Village. The East Village is the hip part of Manhattan where all the tattooists and piercings shops are.
Kept going down to Katz's deli. This is where they filmed that scene on When Harry met Sally( i'll have what she's having) It is famous for there beef and pastrami sandwiches on rye and Reuben's which is pastrami, Swiss and sauerkraut. It was packed as well so I didn't bother waiting for a $15 sandwich. I then walked back to 8th street to get back on the hop on bus.
Got back to times square and then went to see Spy the exhibit (getting good use of the New York Pass) which replaced Terra-cotta warriors. Was ok but would have rather seen the other.
After this is was raining pretty bad so I walked home.
Altogether I walked about 80 blocks today and saw done good parts of the city.
