wednesday colette didn't feel well all day so i went for a wander by myself. i actually really enjoyed it. i went to to the national gallery of victoria and saw a couple of exhibitions, photographs by albert steigeitz, an exhibition about the colour black with some really cool clothes and a contemporary art exhibition. still had to read the explanations but at least it was more like pictures (rather than the 1 julia and i visited in sheff!!!!). was gonna go to the arts centre too but think i was arted out for one day! then i went off in search of the botanical gardens, i just walked along the river until i saw it. was really beautiful with a massive lake and really quiet considerin how close to the city it was. also saw the shrine of rememberence which ws bigger than i expected. after all that i wandered back towards the city. twirlin and singin along to my ipod along the river. the weather wasn't that great but really enjoyed my afternoon.

yesterday, we went on a trip to the great ocean road. oh my god, it was amazin! we went to soooo many places. it was cold though but we put up with it! we went to belles beach, where point break was set, although not actually filmed. then went to the lighthouse from 'round the twist' (have u ever? have u ever felt like this, where strange things happen, are u goin round the twist!). then stopped at quite a few little towns along the way. would have been ace spendin a few days in each durin the summer. then we went to see some wild koala's! real live wild ones! they don't really do much. just sit up a tree and look cute and sleep all day long! then we went for a walk in the jungle which wasn't as long as chiang mai so we managed it! we went on a helicopter!!! a massive flyin helicopter to see the 12 apostles. i was the most excited ever, and we got such good views it was brilliant. we got to wear microphones and headsets....felt like i was jack bauer....head down runnin towards a waitin helicopter! haha. was definately he best experience of the day. then we went to have a look at them on foot. we also visited a gorge. we even set foot on the beach! ha. then watched the beautiful sunset. then back to melbourne. it was such a long day but so enjoyable. can't believe how much managed to pack in!!
