well, we arrived safe and sound! after what seemed like an eternity either travelling or waiting we touched down at our hotel late yesterday afternoon. didn't get much sleep on the plan, but did get to watch Juno (made me a bit teary!!)!

after arrivin at the hotel decided to go out for a bit. several beers later and some pat thai we were fed and watered. Went to Kao San road which is quite a well known street for all things traveller like. there were food stalls and clothes shops and lots of bars. we ended up in the roof bar where you can sit and look out onto the street from above. we just watched the world go by and listened the music....which was thai ppl doin such hits as boyzone, avril lavigne and oasis! all good stuff!

then, this mornin, as you might have already guessed we missed breakfast and didn't get our arses out of bed until 10 am!!! we moved rooms ar 12, got an upgrade for a night...which we know know isn't all that great as the only differenceis a hairdryer that doesn't work!! then went out. we were gonna go to the grand palace but decided to save that for thursday and visit some temples and stuff today. So, we got ourselves a tuk tuk and off we trotted.

there r some really beautiful buildings here and there are somany temples! all gold and pretty,and huge too. we went to this one place and may have got a big lost amongst all the smaller temple type buildings. then colette got scared by one of the many dogs in this city so we decided to go to a new one. we went ot the golden mount, which is part of the Wat Saket temple and was so lovely. we had to walk up over 300 steps which was quite a tough task in the middle of the day!but it was well worth it. when we got to the top we could see out over the bangkok sky line, we couldn't even see the edge of the city it's that big. there was a huge gold spikey thing at the top and bells on the way up and down. we also visited a tailors and jewellary shop but don't worry...i didn't buy anythin!! then we visited one more temple but was kinda quiet so headed back to our hotel.

tomorrow we are goin to tiger temple where apparently ppl can touch the tigers! don't know if i'll b doin that but it should be a good day out. ggggggrrrrrrr
