we successfully moved hostels across town to betelbox hostel. it's a bit out of town but it's ok. very basic but we get breakfast...with marmite...yum yum! we went ot the zoo yesterday. 2 MRTs and a bus got us there, it was really busy coz it was s unday so we had to stand up. by the end of the day my feet were hurtin!! but the zoo was brilliant we saw loads of animals (obviously!). we saw, giraffes, cheetahs, lions, polar bear, hippopatamus, some dragon thing t...

we made it to the beach yesterday, managed to use the MRT and got the cable car to sentosa island. was brilliant being so high up, got to see for miles! i don't think this city built outwards but upwards because there are so many high rise buildings! when we got to sentosa island we made our way to silosa beach. we hung out in cafe del mar because they had sun loungers and and bought 2 of the most expensive bottles of water ever!!! but got to go in their pool so ...

the intrepid tour is over - we are officially by ourselves! on tuesday we went to melacca and stayed ina traditional perenakan house. it was gorgeous. a really long house and so tranquil. The perenakan people were those who came over from china and married malay and started their own traditions. the hotel was so peaceful that didn't really want to go out. we were a short walk from the centre and it small so everythin was quite close together. had a wander aroun...
