Good weekend, good weekend!
There was a Christmas parade…yes, I know it's only just November but Adelaide is light years ahead of it's time (obviously!). it was quite fun though, weather was a bit cr*p and it rained a bit and there were a few sore heads at 9.30 but we got to see real live camels in the middle of Adelaide and Santa. I swear he looked at me!!!
And then I headed off to do a spot of sightseeing with Brad, Olli, and Des! We went to the botanic gardens which was beautiful and the boys were happy coz there was stuff they could jump off (loads of steps), jump over (streams) and climb up (trees)! And it turns out skinny jeans and pumps are not the right dress to partake in such activities so I ended up bein official photographer! Which was kinda fun coz I got to laugh at them… a lot!!
And then we went to the art gallery! We weren't allowed to take pictures and I felt guilty talking! There were some interetin pieces of con temporary art such as a luminous rhinoceros walkin on a wall (wtf!), some crows in a circle and a babygrow with "I'm not a charlatan, he's a charlatan, he's a loser" or something like that written across the front!! All very strange! Then there was the pictures that I could have done (and I'm rubbish at art!!) like a black canvas with a red border or just a load of scribbles on a canvas. I'm no DaVinci but I could have done that!
Saturday night we went to Sam's (one of the owners of the hostel) party at his house. We made lasagna, ate way too much and drank too wine and ended up on karaoke! Someone should really keep us away from it! Haha. Renditions of the spice girls and 4 non blondes by an English, German and Swiss are rather interesting!!
Then Sunday was pretty chilled out! We left the boys to their own devices to make dinner which turned out to be a rather nice, creamy potato bake! Yum yum!
This week has been back to work but it's officially the middle of the week so it's all good! And we've booked our Uluru trip! Whooooop! Leave on 27/11 for alice springs and then on to ayers rock! Very exciting.
And this weekend we might go swimming with dolphins which has made pip rather jealous! Gonna try and get an underwater camera to take some pics! It's all go here!
