What is not to like about this country? The lack of government? The copious beer choices? Superior chocolate, hot chips, mussels, cycling and did I mention beer already? It is no coincidence that I am back here twice within 12 months. Belgians themselves are laid-back, effortlessly cool and welcoming, all the more reason for visiting. During our three-day stay in Brugge at the Grand Hoyel Casselbergh (unfriggin' believable) we slept in the world's most comfortable bed, went for a cycle tour that seemed to be dominated by Australians, saw a most beautiful Basilica and guffawed at a couple of tourists who spent $500 on chocolate. I, on the otherhand, spent a restrained €3 (equivalent to about $5).
