A more peaceful night was had and we awoke to a lovely sunny day . An early morning swim in the lovely bay was followed by breakfast and the boys went on a challenging run to the top of the hill. The girls got lost on their walk but saw a baby tortoise , we bought fresh bread and set off at 10.30 for to prepare for a race. The irate German lady did not complain. The wind was blowing quite well and we practised our start and were first over the line at 11.30 narrowly missing a collision with Swallow. The first leg was windward so we soon ended up in last position as we can't sail close to the wind. So we ended up in last position all taking a turn to helm but we still could not improve our last place , never mind, we won't win this trophy!
The wind was blowing hard and we had to have our lunch on the move . A good lunch with Barb's freshly baked chocolate cake went down well. We stopped at Bosibuoku Bay and dropped anchor where we stopped to take jumping off the boat photos . Barb was cast off in the Dinghy to take photos and Beth took photos while floating in a ring. Good work! Will we make it onto the Sunsail brochure.?
We had a good sail back to Gocek where we moored up with a clap of thunder and lightning .
We joined the other sunsail people for the evening BBQ and presentations . Dave won the Best Barman award , Graham won the best fish award and the girls won the cocktail making contest and were presented with lovely coasters.
We returned to the boat for the Don't Panic awards . There were many nominations the most popular were for Barbara for her baking and photography in a dinghy and Graham for his efforts as a skipper . The award was won by Graham !
