Busy morning. Breakfast then Pilates on the foredeck which was in hot sun .A swim to the Island with dinghy and Beth in canoe following. The dinghy party went for a shop and then came to accompany the swimmers, We then had to set off to Cold water bay where we moored brilliantly with our stern lines anchor down only to be told to move as the party boats were coming in, so another manoevre was equally successful. Our morning's walk was up to a ruined village . A forty minute uphill trek would have given us some outstanding views down to the bay but we had a cloudy sky so we did not see it at its best.. The view of the ruined village was pretty spectacular, but now it was beginning to rain so we decided to make a quick descend back to the boat. David following the red arrows lead us up the wrong path but the right path was easily missed.
Back to the boat for lunch as we were all hungry after our exertions. We set off with no wind and no sun so most of us had a siesta . We arrived at Fethiye at about 5.30pm . A large resort and we moored stern to with Dave's skilful motoring skills we moored in a small gap without a hitch . Strong winds were forecast so we made sure we were all secure.
The yacht club had a lovely pool and showers which we made use of before dinner. The rain shower did not spoil a lovely meal and we arrived back on board just before a storm blew up and we had to quickly rescue the washing. The nightcap of reke with Stu and Hannah while we listened to the wind howling ., I don't think it's going to be a very quiet night.
The nominations for the "Don't Panic" award was Dave for not panicking while reversing into a small space, and not panicking when he lead us up the wrong path. Bethany for falling out of the canoe while trying to take off her shorts, and Simon for getting knocked into the water by a rope . The winner was Dave !
