We woke to a lovely a sunny day . The wind again was good and the morning sail back to Airlie Beach was fast and exciting. The sailing had been excellent and we were not disappointed by the "sailing in the Whitsundays " experience.
After a brief dip in the lagoon at Airlie Beach we headed north to Townsville. The country began to change from the dry baron landscape to a more green and tropical one we passed through miles of sugar cane growing regions and mango trees
Townsville is a large city with a long palm lined promenade where the whole city seems to congregate on a Sunday afternoon and again there seemed to be the parading of designer dogs . After a cramped cabin the large motel room with large bathroom was pure luxury.
