after a week in the concrete jungle of Sydney we have moved our operations to a city called Newcastle (nothing like its english counter part - this place exports its sand to hawai!).
I very much enjoyed the bright lights of Sydney and met some interesting characters at the Mardi Gras - if you ever get the chance to go see it you should! I also tried some interesting sushi at the fish markets (raw scallops with warm mash potatoe, cheese, sea water and bits of shell does not go down well). we also went to an all you can eat buffet which had king prawns, steak, various fish, indian foods, chineese foods, salads, cheeses, cakes, ice cream, jelly, triffles, mouses, fruit and free soft drinks plus much much more, it was pretty darn awesome if you ask me!
so now we are moving on up the east coast, staying ver near the hunter valley wine region - suffice to say we did a day tour to all the cellar doors which included McGuigans and Linermans. our group of twelve tried over 50 wines, ports and liquers ,and this was before lunch!
the rest of my time here has been taken up with surfing some beautiful waves. the weather has picked up and weve had some nice warm days which has added to the beauty of this small city. the water here is a bit warmer than in guenrsey during the summer.
tomorrow we are heading off with two german girls and a dutch guy towards a place called Port Stephens - aparently its like hawai so I shall take plenty of photos to show you all!
speak soon my friends, stay in touch!
