Hello!
I know I haven't updated this in a while and since we are leaving in 2 days time for Bangkok, I thought I best update you all.
We have been having a nice peaceful time over the last couple of weeks AJ's parents set off for France so we have had the house to ourselves. We have been spending time catching up with AJ's mates and having BBQ's. The weather has not been that hot... pretty chilly actually (or I am just acclimatising!) Had one or two 30 degree days so it's not all bad.
Had my final trip to the dentist today to get a crown fitted. I feel like I will be coming back to the UK with a whole new mouth after 6 visits (and about 10 hours in total) to the dentist!
We spent yesterday surfing which was so much fun. My goal was to stand up on the board for at least a second and in reality I actually managed to catch a whole wave standing so was pretty chuffed. AJ did really well too and managed to catch a couple of waves. I think we were born to surf :)
What else.... a funny story perhaps?
OK... for all of you that know me well, you will know I HATE spiders... in fact terrified of them. So what do I do... watch the classsic film Aracnaphobia. All is well and I feel ok (after checking the living room and bedroom for any spiders). I jump into bed waiting on AJ and fix the covers. Upon lifting up the covers, I find there is a pretty big spider in bed with me!!! I think the whole Woronora River must of heard me scream that night. AJ thought it was very funny of course. I spent the rest of the night with the torch lit in my hand checking for spiders. Worst night's sleep of this honeymoon I reckon.
So we jet off to Bangkok on Sunday and are there for about 5 days before setting off on our 24 day treck (which we are so unfit for at the moment) through Cambodia, Laos, Tibet then Nepal. Apparently Cambodia and Laos has been hit with a typhoon so I hope this doesn't affect our trip. Heard the news about the tsunami... awful!
Oh, and if you haven't heard already, we have just bought a house in Sydney! That's right, we are planning on moving here but not sure when (it's being rented for the time being). I have posted some pics up if anyone wants to have a peek. It has 5 bedrooms, 3 ensuites, pool and bushland frontage. Lots of space for visitors, parties, BBQ's and babies!
OK, so love to all and if you haven't heard, we are now back in the UK on 29th December as plans were changed so that's only just under 90 days left of the honeymoon!
