Hi everyone,
Just a very quick blog to say we have safely arrived in Sydney.
I uploaded the rest of our photos of Fiji in the Maqai Beach photo album if anyone is interested. The sun finally came out on our last day!
Staying with my new parent-in-laws and its superb. We finally can get unpacked properly, a hot shower, and great cooking.
Counting down the days until my mum and dad arrive here on Sunday morning.
It's a nice temperature here... 20 degrees and clear blue skies. We have been missing the sun recently!
We have many trips planned for our 5 weeks here including flying up to Port Douglas for some snorkelling etc, going wine tasting in the Hunter Valley and taking a trip to the Blue Mountains so watch out for some photos and blogs soon.
Love to all,
Lee-Ann and AJ
PS... we forgot to tell the story of our campervan incident in New Zealand... we always spoke about what would happen if we drove off with the campervan still plugged into the powered socket supply at a camp site and guess what... on the last day in New Zealand, we were so keen to get to the airport (not!) that we (or I should I say), drove off still plugged in! We managed to get out the caravan site and down a main road when a taxi driver began beeping and flashing. On looking into the side mirrors, we see the plug bouncing along behind the campervan. I pulled over and with much embarrassment, reeled our plug back in and tucked it away nicely, back where it belonged. I am sure our fellow guests at the campervan site got a good giggle when we were leaving, not to mention all the pedestrians we drove past. I think this nicely adds to one of my most embarassing situations!
I hope this provides a good laugh to you all back home! Looking back now, we find it one of the funniest moments on our travels. The rest will be revealed when we return ;)
