Well, we have just returned from a 10 day trip to Queensland (Port Douglas). The weather was hot and we had a brilliant time. Lots of relaxing, wildlife and snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef.

Mum and dad are due to leave Sydney on Friday so we are trying to plan what else we can show them around the area for this week.

Unfortunately, me and AJ have had to adjust our itinerary a little as one of our GAP Adventure trips was cancelled - Bangkok to Kathmandu. We spent a whole day just before jetting off to Port Douglas to amend our plans. I have updated the itinerary on the blog and we are gutted that we have to miss out on spending a whole month in Thailand so we can go on the GAp trip at an earlier date. We were so looking forward to staying in another beach hut for a month but this trip also sounds amazing and not one we want to miss out on. That also means we are due to fly home much earlier than anticipated... it looks like we will be flying back into Edinburgh on 29th December - just in time for New Years Eve!

This is great news for the cash flow situation as we have had to fork out a substantial sum for dental treatment whilst in Australia. Further to having root canal treatment done on one of my teeth, I now need to go back another two times to get more root canal on another tooth, a filling replaced and a crown! Not cheap!!!
