The bus was there within 10 mins. There wasn't any seats available so I plonked myself in the middle of the bus aisle and finished book number 9 of the true blood sagas. The last one I have on my kindle. When I finished I let out a disappointed huff - forgetting that Lee was 3 people away in the aisle so I looked like a lone traveller with an imaginary friend. I explained to the man in the seat next to me why I huffed and ended up chatting to him and his wife all the way to Khoa Lak.
They got off the same stop and told us about a guesthouse that they had stayed in so we followed them and stayed there too. We arranged to meet for tea after we'd had chance to wash up. His wife had had to cut their Similan Island trip short because of tooth ache. Her wisdom tooth had got infected so they'd come back to get it removed. They told us about the commonness of vodka making in Sweden (where they were from) then we parted for the night so they could buy vodka for her to swill her mouth... Yuk! And we could have a look around. We did some window shopping, looked into scuba diving around the Similan Islands. Scuba diving is way more expensive on this side of Thailand. A fun dive in Koh Tao is 700bahts here it is 4,500bahts?! That's crazy?! We got some brochures for different trips, had drinks in a bar then then headed back to the room.
