The taxi was waiting for us at 6am outside our hostel so we jumped in and were at the airport in no time. Actually it was about half an hour but we were half asleep. We checked in straight away then walked through the security area. In Guayaquil they've got those huge machines that scan your whole body. The security lady didn't find my shyness routine funny (hiding my boobs with my hands) by the second scan I think she'd seen everything. We walked through into duty free. No American Honey! We bought Ecuadorian chocolate and some bottles of spirits then headed for the cafe for breakfast.
The night before we'd watched a film called Pitch Perfect. In the film the girl plays the cup and sings (the songs called cups) so me and Lee sat and watched the cup drumming part and learnt how to play. I couldn't master singing and playing so Lee took over drums whilst I sang. Oh what fun can be had with a cup! the time whizzed by and next thing we knew we were on the plane heading to Santiago.
