Hey long time no speak, well i did write a blog but some how it was deleted so this is my second attempt,
I have arrived in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) where i have managed to find a nice cheep place to stay in a loft really weird as i have to climb a ladder and lift the loft hatch to get inlol. off for a wonder and i find a huge market, i think i have a radar for markets as i always seem to find them, for the rest of the evening i wonder and find lots of cool places,
I am only spending 1 full day here as i want to go to the meakong delta but my visa is running out as usuall so to fit it in i cant stay in saigon for long, so off exploring everywhere i walk to a temple but i cant find it map skills still no good, but i do find the war museaum, really sad lots of graffic pictures on the verge of tears when i leave fter seeing the pickles deformed babies that were afected by the chemiclals thet were dropped during the war, to cheer my self up i go to the notra dame cathedral which is really pretty and really stands out then to an ice cream parlor for the best banana split, wondering around i find the palace, indeendence hall and lots of great buildings and back to the rket again, which sells food and clothes everythng im sure if you looked closely you would find the kitchen sink.
well exausted so eat dinner and as my room has cable tv i watch a film and fall asleep.
i leave saigon for a 3 day trip to the meakong i met lots of people as the tour if for 1,2 and 3 day people then we join up with another group when our is to small, over the few days i see a candy making village, noodle village, honey village, rice wine village, lots of different thing being made then tyhe floting market, i even ate snake, bit like squid but very chewey.
on the last day we went to a fish farm then on a long journey to the cambodian boarder, long long way by boat, then a thunder storm pouring with rain realy heavey and this is when we arrive so with our bags we have to climb the bank which is about 5 meters coovered with slippery mud never laughed so much one step up sliding back down 2 steps, i slipped put my hand out to stop me falling and lost itin the mud, finally we all made it up, soaked and muddy the driver of the bus wouldnt let us in unless we got rid of the mud so under the roof where the water fell we were catching the rain in a bucket cleaning our selves, welcome to cambodia, 1,30hr drive to phnom Phen where i found a cheep room to stay in and dry off at last.
next installment coming soon
