Hey
Well in in Sapa what a journey, we caught the train from Hanoi out here the classes are Hard seat, spft seat, hard bed soft bed, well everywhere was full except the hard seat so thinking it cant be that bad booked a ticket for that night, train didnt leave till 10 so i went in to hanoi town to look arround. when i got back to the train Oh my Buddha it was so bad they were wooden benches that were straight up right and there was hardly any leg room (just want to say train journey going to be 9hrs long through the night) so there is going to be no change to sleep. we i didnt sleep, we were with all of the locals and they are so noisy shouting to each other when only 2 feet away, not a very good journey.
Finally we arrived in Sapa and got a bus in to the centre, so pretty we are really high up and in the morning and evening the clouds come down and makes it very foggy felt really christmasy. for the rest of the day i didnt really do much lazed around slept mostly, had a great room with a fire and still really cheep.
First fall day, we rent moto bike the weather not very good quite wet so i went slow but i still managed to fall off, im ok added a few bruises and danaged the bike a bit but nothing serious. so back to change bike then head in other direction to a small village the journey there was really good had to go through a few waterfalls to get there (the water came on to the road) and the views were really cool. we stopped for lunch in a little side of the road cafe for noodle soup and then off again. back to town and back down the road that i fell of earlier, weather a lot better and all the mud has dried out, really bumpy road, i was running out of petrol so i turned bad while craig and richard carried on. for the rest of the afternoon i realxed, that night managed to find a bar with the football on, i only managed to watch the first half before falling asleep.
Last day going to catch an over night train back to Hanoi but booked soft seat this time, train not till 9 and the bus will pick us up at 4.30 so i went for a walk found a really nice lake and a market.
train trip back to hanoi so much better soft seat that reclined, no noise and the lights were turned off, a bit hot but ok, arrived in hanoi early morning, not going to stay here need to see the sun so going to travel down to Hue so get a taxi over to the bus station and say goodbye to Craig and Richard as they are now going some where else, i have a 15hr bus journey to look forward to how great. wasnt to bad i was the only non local on the bus and is was quite squashed but the time went really quickly and i arrived in Hue at 1 in the morning, straight to guest house and sleep. I woke in the morning still quite tired but i went for a walk and found a great market and the forbiden city to expensive to go in so i walked around the outside really pretty. didnt stay in Hue for long as there want really much to see except the forbiden city, on to De Nang next
