Had a chilled out time in Kanchanaburi, catching up with people, having first Thai massage (mildly painful yet enjoyable), meeting other volunteers starting and having a wander round markets. I finally made it back to Thailand; after what felt like an eternity on planes. I don't mind flying but I am very happy I chose aisle seats so I could get up and move around whenever I wanted to! I didn't get ripped of by the taxi driver into town either!! Win! And the first one I think I've ever had that used wing mirrors and indicated. Got checked in fine. A lot has changed in Cambodia in the last 8 years. I was expecting a few changes but Siem Reap's have been fairly extensive. I remember the town and main streets to be fairly busy, a few cafes, bars, restaurants and a wee bit run down. Now it feels like a tourist trap in Thailand.
